Greece, the captive, took her savage victor captive.
— Horace

Juno, the Jealous Goddess of Wife, perpetually in the shadow of her philandering husband, has rarely been given her own chance to shine. Which is why this thirteen-foot, six-and-a-half-ton sculpture of her – the largest classical sculpture in North America, thank you very much – feels both majestic and appropriately petty, just like human nature. Who else but humans would tell themselves mythological stories and carve magnificent art just to spite them? And who else but humans would look to the ancient world to understand themselves?
