“The jury felt that [Avishai’s] The Beholder’s Share moves podcasting to a whole new place, that of being an artwork in itself.”

The American Alliance of Museums

Does your museum have a new, exciting acquisition or exhibition opening? Do you want your museum to be more accessible? Are you looking to enrich your online content?

Why not commission an episode of The Lonely Palette to tell your museum’s story?

New museum podcasts are getting launched all the time, backed by large teams and sizable budgets, but even the most high-quality podcasts, in every field, are having difficulty gaining traction in an increasingly oversaturated market.  The Lonely Palette launched in 2016 and has been slowly and surely accruing an audience of devoted listeners who eagerly anticipate the show’s interpretations of a wide spectrum of artworks, artists, and movements.

Each episode of The Lonely Palette – whether its focus is a famous, bucket-list painting or a relatively obscure quilt – averages the same relative number of downloads, a metric that speaks to both the consistency of the show’s quality, and the consistency of the audience’s loyalty.  The podcast has been lauded for its accessibility, warmth, humor, and humanity.

We will work closely with your institution to best understand and meet your needs, whether the episode is about one object in a collection, one object in a larger exhibition, highlighting several objects in a special exhibition, or the exhibition itself.
